I am Awesomely Amethyst 1-10

Www.scrapbooksteals.stealnetwork.com has a series of 10 sketches, if you complete all 10 you are entered for a draw of great prizes. Due to surgery and life I haven’t been actively participating til this round of sketches! Sketch 9 has a unique story because there are no pictures, due to the fact that I never met my daughter that I had made this page for, and instead wrote her a letter! It was very therapeutic for me! I am sorry that WordPress jumbled the pictures so they are not in order but I assure you all 10 are there! I am very proud of all the pages, and look forward to many more series with www.scrapbooksteals.com in the future!

Enjoy

3 for 1

http://www.2sketches4you.blogspot.com/ has a gorgeous sketch by
Kazan this week..and we were to make a unique edged card!

http://www.kjsstamppad.blogspot.com/ has her weekly color chef
challenge, black, bright green and white …
http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/ has a sewing challenge..whether
it be real or faux!

So I combined the 3 challenges to make my card! I started by cutting my
shape out with my cricut…I used Home Decor, the Marquis, on fit
to page, and then folded it in half to make a card! (in black cardstock!)
then I cut some bright green paper and edged it with my loopy
Martha stewart punch, added some green and black spotty ribbon, and
a bright green button. I stamped my sentiment KEEP YOUR SPARKLE in white.
Then I stamped my cute lil’ stamp, and set to work on colouring her
in greens! I added stickles to her wings, and around the edge of my
card, along with some white faux stitching!
Enjoy,

http://www.2sketches4you.blogspot.com/ has an awesome sketch by Laura this week…and the winner gets a spot on the design team..omg, how exciting would that be?! 🙂 http://critterchallengeblog.blogspot.com/ has a THANK YOU card challenge and finally http://www.cupcakecraftchallenges.blogspot.com/ challenges us to use acetate!

Ok so here is my what I did for my card! And I must say, I am very pleased with the result! I first took my cricut, and cut out a 3 inch circle from George and stamped a C.C. Designs stamp, Heidi on the circle. I set to work to colour her (I figured I would figure out papers after colouring!) and used my copics (of course lol 😉 )! I then restamped her using black Staz On onto acetate. Now here is where I did something different..I adhered her wings using glossy accents UNDER the acetate, to give it dimension, then added for a bit of shimmer..a tiny bit of Opalite re-inker in Orchid Ice on the tips of her wings! SOOOOOOOOOO pretty lemme tell ya..I wish the camera picked up the shimmer. Then I cut my card base from Baja Breeze by Stampin Up. I inked the edges in Pink Pirouette, then adhered a piece of patterned paper from DCWV Sweet stack. I then added the ribbon, and my stamped image. It was still missing something, oh ya..the sentiment, so I added it from my fave stamp set, Short & Sweet, in magenta ink, and added a bit of distressed inking to the edges using my memento ink. Then I thought, well its still missing something, but what… BLINNNNNNNNG! So I added 2 little blue gems to bring out the blue of the paper in the background of the card, and added 2 little gems in each of her pony tails! FUN! I love this card, and think it is soooooo cute, and one of my best!! I hope you like it as much as I do! Have a wonderful day! PS I flipped Laura’s sketch sideways for my card! Hope thats ok!!!!!

http://www.2sketches4you.blogspot.com/ combined with http://offthewallcraftiness.blogspot.com/2010/07/otwc-challenge-14.html  for my first card of the day. I searched and searched for some pattern paper in either navy or fuschia. Me, a pink lover, didn’t have any fuschia that struck my fancy…so I decided to create my own patterned paper. I found a square of KI Memories daisy doodle in my scrap bin, and coloured the flowers in with my fuschia copics.. woohoo for being creative today! Then I used a piece of navy cardstock from DCWV latte matte stack, and then layered on my stamped deer, from Technique Tuesdays OH DEER set. I coloured her with my copics too, and added some stickles to her spots. Then I added some gems on either side of the mounted image to mimic the sketch! I stamped “Stop and smell the flowers” as I thought it was applicable, due to the background being flowers! Thanks for stopping in and seeing this C-Cubed Creation 🙂 Please, feedback is always welcome!! PS the sketch I used by Kazan is in the previous post, along with Kelly Jo’s inspiration for colour! Thanks

Happy Monday!

So here is the scoop, my son (3 1/2) is going camping with his grandparents for THREE days. Leaving me with my 6 month old during the day, who naps constantly and the time to do some challenges! WOOOOOOOOT! I am excited to have a little me time that is more than just a half hour here, or an hour there! I am going to do as many challenges as I possibly can and hopefully get the numbers and comment numbers up on my blog! When I hit a certain amount, I will most definately do a blog candy! So for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday be prepared for a lot of creativity to come outta c-cubed!!!

And onto Monday challenges!!

http://www.2sketches4you.blogspot.com  has an awesome sketch by Kazan! Have I mentioned how much I love her stuff, wow, beyond talent!!

http://offthewallcraftiness.blogspot.com/2010/07/otwc-challenge-14.html the following picture as inspiration : I see fuschia and navy and white, and judging by her creation, those are the colours! So fun, we will see what I can come up with.

http://www.craftyourpassionchallenges.blogspot.com  has a challenge to do either faux or real stitching on your card

http://critterchallengeblog.blogspot.com challenges us to use 4 stars on our creation!

http://www.cupcakecraftchallenges.blogspot.com  is inspired by World Cup soccer, so some kind of sport in your creation…this one might stump me for a bit…lol

http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com  has a challenge to incorperate ORANGE and any type of bug into your card!

Phew thats a lot to do today, so I better start cracking!! If I don’t get it all done today, I will finish up tomorrow morning when daughter naps and my son is off camping!

 Happy Monday, C-Cubed 🙂

Anyone for Anya

It’s Sunday, and I write this post from my new pink netbook. It will be the first blog entry I am doing from it! YAY! I feel so blessed to have a man who treats me this well! I also got new cartridges for my cricut this weekend, and some of the new Tim Holtz Sizzix embossing folders (that work with your cuttlebug like any A2 folder!) and my stamp club order! Woah, spoiled much!!

Anyway, I wandered over to The Daily Dare today, and found a new challenge site I love :

http://anyoneforanya.blogspot.com and since my gf Tammy * http://tampatha.wordpress.com sent me some cute Anya images, I thought I would play along. The sketch is here, along with my card! I hope you like! Here’s what I did :

First I made a 6×6 square card out of hot pink cardstock from my stash. I edged the one edge with EK Success’ Pinking Hearts border punch. then I layered the scrummy patterned paper from Flair, its called Crazy 4 U Collection, Love Notes. I then took a piece of cameo coral cardstock from stampin up, ran it thru my cuttlebug with the new circles Tim Holtz sizzix folder, and inked it with Pixie Pink. Then I coloured Anya with my copics trimmed her, and distressed the edges in the same pink. Then, I stamped Thank You from Stampin Up’s “Short and Sweet” set, and punched it out with a punch, followed by adhering 2 rhinestones to it! I think its an adorable card 🙂 and I am really pleased with it! Enjoy! Feedback welcome!!!
