It’s Sunday, and I write this post from my new pink netbook. It will be the first blog entry I am doing from it! YAY! I feel so blessed to have a man who treats me this well! I also got new cartridges for my cricut this weekend, and some of the new Tim Holtz Sizzix embossing folders (that work with your cuttlebug like any A2 folder!) and my stamp club order! Woah, spoiled much!!
Anyway, I wandered over to The Daily Dare today, and found a new challenge site I love :
http://anyoneforanya.blogspot.com and since my gf Tammy * http://tampatha.wordpress.com sent me some cute Anya images, I thought I would play along. The sketch is here, along with my card! I hope you like! Here’s what I did :
First I made a 6×6 square card out of hot pink cardstock from my stash. I edged the one edge with EK Success’ Pinking Hearts border punch. then I layered the scrummy patterned paper from Flair, its called Crazy 4 U Collection, Love Notes. I then took a piece of cameo coral cardstock from stampin up, ran it thru my cuttlebug with the new circles Tim Holtz sizzix folder, and inked it with Pixie Pink. Then I coloured Anya with my copics trimmed her, and distressed the edges in the same pink. Then, I stamped Thank You from Stampin Up’s “Short and Sweet” set, and punched it out with a punch, followed by adhering 2 rhinestones to it! I think its an adorable card 🙂 and I am really pleased with it! Enjoy! Feedback welcome!!!
http://www.audsentimentschallengeblog.blogspot.com has the sentiment “It’s your day” as a challenge! http://www.charismacardz.blogspot.com challenge #21 is going round in circles!! So I combined the two! I started with a brilliant blue card base, cut a circle in white (Charizma, heres some of the many circles I used!!) and stamped my girl on the circle. I coloured her with my copics, and added some red spotty (more circles!) ribbon. I then thought it needed MORE circles..so I doodled some red spots, and outlined them in blue. Then I stamped “it’s your DAY!” to fit in with the audsentiments challenge! I then had this 100% girly stamp that was dying to get used, so I stamped it on red, and cut it out and adhered it with foam dots to my card! It’s also a CIRCLE! 😉 Enjoy! I had a blast making this card! I know who its going to as well!
http://www.abc-challenge.blogspot.com has a V for Vintage challenge.. I am not one that normally does vintage..so please be nice!! LOL!! 🙂 *Grin*.. I did actually have fun doing this challenge tho! I think it has a nice vintage feel to it! Ok so details on my card.. here goes! I started with a kraft coloured card base, then went in search of vintage papers! (I have more paper than I do anything else in my room…lol so there was bound to be a few sheets of something vintage!) I came across DCWV new Mariposa stack and thought these butterflies appeared quite vintage. So I cut a piece (eeks, I hate cutting into a new paper pack and using it! Dont you? 😉 ) to fit almost entirely over my card front, leaving about half a centimeter of kraft poking thru. Then I found a scrap of turquoise that matched some of the butterflies, edged it with my martha stewart scalloped punch, and adhered it to my card. I then added some “vintage” (thrift store) lace in a kraft type colour. Then I had a gorgeous glittery prima in a rich orange, and a pretty brown flower gem to accent the card. Now I didn’t know I even had this butterfly stamp til I was rooting thru my drawers trying to find a different butterfly, but she is sure perfect. I coloured her with copics, and accented with gold stickles to go with the paper’s gold glitter accents. Then I used a stampin up punch, and short and sweet, and adhered those to my card as well! It looks vintage to me! Let me know if I can attempt this again, as I’m not sure if it’s good or bad! 🙂 Thanks for the feedback, it means a lot to me as a crafter and a person!
http://www.2sketches4you.blogspot.com has this cool sketch by Laura! I love scalllop circles! So I stamped my image..”Being together” by Gillian Roberts on a white scallop circle I had cut using mini monograms on my cricut. I coloured away with my copics.. til I had the look I wanted. I then added a sentiment “Lean on Me” from print works. I added a gem to every other scallop, then did some hand doodling around it. I matted my card base with bazzill bling in a hot pink, and turquoise blue. The patterned paper is from Pocket full of Posies by DCWV. I hope you enjoy my card! Thanks for taking the time to peek, and please leave a comment!

http://www.2sketches4you.blogspot.com has a wonderful sketch by Kazan. I took this sketch and rolled with it! I was in a purple kind of mood today, maybe that is from reading my son Harry and the purple crayon all day!! LOL! Anyhow, I stamped my cute lil girl from a sweet hero arts cling stamp set I got on vacation. I then coloured her in with Copics..for her hair I used E35, E37 and E39. Her dress was coloured with V12, V15 and V17.Her skin was coloured using E51 and E00, with RV20 for blush. I also highlighted the whole image with various Spica pens..13Lilac, 20 Chocolate and 19 Sand. I mounted her on a die cut I cut out of Kraft Stampin Up cardstock, which I inked with Stampin Ups Perfect Plum. Then I layered DCWV Latte paper, with some scraps, that I edged using Martha Stewart punch Arch Lattice. I love how this card turned out!
http://www.kjsstamppad.blogspot.com/ had a colour challenge, of greenish blue, black and cream… so I had another new stamp from my vacation, a gorgeous hero arts background stamp…so I had to use it!! I stamped it in Versamark, then heat embossed cream embossing powder on greenish blue paper. I then took the adorable little girl stamped image I had recieved in the mail from a friend (WHAT IS THAT STAMP? Does anyone know who she is? My friend recieved it, and sent it on to me! and I LOVE HER!!) I coloured her with copics, jeans- B18, B24 and B21..her shirt and belt were BG 13, BG 15 and BG 18. I used Stampin Up punch (dont remember the name!) and the set short and sweet. I finished off the card with the pinking hearts EK Success punch along the edges of my cream cardstock base, and inked them in tuxedo black by memento ink. Then added some pearls and some stickles in diamond to her flowers in her hair!
